Absolutely. Normal snow shovels will not harm FuturaStone. And because of its porous nature, ice rarely forms On FuturaStone surfaces.
FuturaStone has a 22% flexibility factor, it does not crack as easily as concrete, the only way it will crack is if the concrete substrate cracks significantly, and even then we have ways of preparing the surface that will minimize any future cracking.
Because of the porous nature of FuturaStone, water does not puddle on top, and this helps contribute to it being a non-slick surface. This especially helps reduce the build-up of ice over the top of the surface. We also finish every new job with a non-slip additive, which reduces slips. However, please use common sense.
Yes, we have a limited 10 year warranty. FuturaStone is warranted against any defects in material or workmanship.
